“Splurging” at New York & Company

One of my favorite coupons to receive via e-mail (and believe me, they arrive weekly to my inbox) are the coupons for New York & Company. They give you $30 off a $75 purchase … which is pretty substantial if you think about it … none of this ‘free shipping on purchases over $125‘ or ‘save 10%‘ measly nonsense.

That’s $75 worth of loot for $45… definitely a recessionista special! Oh and by the way, right now everything in the store is buy one, get one 50% … another phrase that’s music to my frugal ears.

So, I went there and headed straight for the dresses. And some other things.

1) This bead trim dress in this yummy tomato shade is totally adorable for $59.50. And with that embellished neckline, you don’t even need to throw a necklace on…

2) I loved the fit of this city stretch tiered dress so much that I bought two of them — this striped pattern for $42.95 and also in hearthrob pink for $39.95 … so adorable with some flats or sandals and a chunky necklace thrown on.

3) This peacock print dress from NY & Co. Collection (for $68.00) is also totally adorable, with a really flattering faux wrap style across the front.

4) Sleeveless cotton dresses like this one could not be easier to dress up or dress down in the summertime … they’re just the definition of effortless… and the price is effortless, too, at $29.95.

5) I am also loving this floral skirt for $34.95 … I can see mixing and matching this many different ways… with feminine blouses, tank tops, t-shirts, etc. Very resort chic.

6) Just like the dress with the embellished neckline, this crochet trim sleeveless top has a dose of fancy built right in … a bargain at $19.95.

7) I also picked up this sleeveless ruffled shirt in a beautiful light blue for $29.95. I plan to pair this with cropped pants and ballet flats or a pencil skirt … I just love tuxedo detailing.

If you haven’t been there in a while, I suggest making a pit-stop @ your local NY & Company … they’ll help you get ready for Spring & Summer 🙂
