What NYC Recessionista Wears: vintage skirt

You might remember me blogging about this skirt once before … I picked it up last March at a Salvation Army in Pennsylvania for $3.

Which means that the alterations I had done (I had it hemmed a little and the buttons moved) cost considerably more than the skirt 🙂

When I first saw this skirt in the store last spring, it reminded me of the longer skirts that Madewell was carrying at the time.  I think that every once in a while, it’s really nice to wear a longer, flowy skirt instead of a standard pencil skirt or a mini.

And because the skirt has such a vibrant pattern to it, I wanted to keep the top and the jewelry really understated and simple.

I added my tall boots to give it a bit of a 90s look. I threw this outfit together pretty last minute, and I am happy with how it looked!
