The term “Casual Friday” has grown to have such an unfortunate connotation. I don’t know about you, but it makes me think of polo shirts and khakis. Or “Hawaiian Shirt Day” in the movie Office Space. So, I really do try to put in a little extra effort on Fridays. By the end of the work week, I want to be comfortable but I do still need to look polished.

This chambray tunic was a random purchase one day during my lunch hour, but it’s since become one of my favorite pieces. I love that it’s a lighter shade for spring, and that it has pockets.
One of my favorite color combinations is navy and burgundy … I love how preppy and academic it feels đŸ™‚
