Did an Old Navy try on session recently and wanted to share some of my favorite new arrivals with you! They have so many cute new dresses for fall and winter.
First up — these long-sleeve jersey knit swing dresses (also available here in plus-sizes) are among some of my favorite pieces that Old Navy makes. They’re super soft, stretchy, comfortable, and effortless. This new floral print is super cute! Wearing an XL here for reference.
Next up, I tried on this green floral print dress. It’s definitely got a defined waist and then flares out — it’s really cute in person. The sleeves are gathered at the cuffs giving them a nice blousy fit. Wearing an XL here.
Up next, I tried on this super cute sleeveless animal print tiered dress. I feel like this one would be super cute for the holidays, especially if you’re the kind of person who gets really hot (a.k.a. me) indoors during the winter, and you want something sleeveless that you can just throw a cardigan over. It would also be super cute with a black turtleneck underneath it, and of course tights and boots. Again wearing an XL (and you can also shop it in plus-sizes here).
Next up, I tried on this white and blue floral dress that has a smocking detail across the bust. The whole point of my sharing this Old Navy try on session with you (and all try on sessions) is for me to be totally honest with y’all. So, I will say, if you’re the kind of person who can sometimes be sensitive to things being itchy or textured on the inside of your clothes, this particular dress is not for you.
Luckily, I was able to find the same floral print in a different style dress that doesn’t have the itchy smocking detail! You can also shop a similar style in this print in plus-sizes right here.
Up next, I tried on this floral print midi dress. It has a cute little tie at the neck that you can wear open or closed, and it’s a super soft material. What a perfect dress for working from home! Comfy but polished. Again wearing an XL here.
Up next, I tried on this floral button-front tiered maxi dress. It’s definitely giving me Little House on the Prairie vibes but I actually kind of love it. It’s so comfy and warm and perfect for winter. Throw on some tights and boots and I’m happy. I’m having some trouble locating this exact dress and pattern on the website (except they do have it in plus-sizes), but they have similar dresses and prints here and here. Again wearing an XL.
Up next, I tried on this embroidered tiered hem dress, in a gorgeous pumpkin-y color. I feel like this would be the perfect dress to wear to Thanksgiving! It’s so cute, and the color is just beautiful. Again wearing an XL here. It’s a tiny bit tight across the bust, but I think that’d only because this particular fabric doesn’t have any stretch to it.
The last thing I tried on as part of this Old Navy try on session were these two plaid shirt dresses — one in a red and blue plaid, and one in a black and white buffalo plaid. Both in an XL (and you can shop the plus-size versions here).
I have to say, this dress was the most surprising and pleasant development out of everything I tried on. They changed the fit of the plaid shirt dresses and made them more of a swing style (more fitted up top with a slight flare below the waist) — and they’re super flattering! And they’re in a super soft lightweight flannel so you won’t overheat.
