The Sephora Spring Savings Event is a great opportunity to stock up on your tried and true favorite products, or maybe even to try something totally new (like some of my favorite products)! And naturally it’s a great opportunity to switch up your makeup or skincare routine for the summer months.
Y’all know by now that Sephora is one of my favorite stores on the planet. I love testing out and trying new products — and Sephora makes it really easy with their super knowledgable staff and generous return policy. I also really appreciate their ‘Clean at Sephora’ label — that way, I can easily find products that are formulated without a long (and frightening) list of chemicals. A few years ago I switched to almost all clean / cruelty-free beauty products, and this section has been an incredible resource.
Below are all of my current favorites for the best Sephora sale picks — I’ve really simplified my makeup routine over the last year and I’ve been focusing a lot more on skincare, including using makeup products that are really good for my skin. Working from home and also entering my 40s has really made me look at makeup, beauty, and skincare differently — and I’m definitely not buying the same things at Sephora as I was in my early 30s.
All of my favorites for the best Sephora sale picks below are amazing!
My New Favorite Brow Gel
Hands down, one of my favorite new products is the GrandeBROW-LAMINATE Brow Styling Gel with Peptides.
This stuff is so darn easy to use and really works. And it lasts all darn day! But it also doesn’t make my brows feel crispy or hard — it just set them in place perfectly, especially thanks to the dual-ended brush.
And the price ($22) is way reasonable compared to a brow lamination at a salon.
My New Favorite Eyeshadow
Ilia has these really gorgeous shimmering eyeshadows that I’m loving right now — their Liquid Powder Eye Shadow Tint — that you can blend in with your fingers and use as much or as little as you want for the desired effect.
They go on as a cream and dry down to a powder that won’t crease and won’t budge — and they’re perfect for either just a hint of shimmer or a major pop of color!
My New Favorite Mascara
The combination of this duo — tarte’s Tartlette Tubing Mascara and Opening Act Lash Primer — gives me THE LONGEST LASHES I’ve ever had. I’m always getting questions from strangers who think they’re fake. Just put a coat of the primer on first and follow it up with the mascara and you’ll have lashes for days!
The best part? It washes off super easy with just cleanser (no need to go back a second time to wash away stubborn spots) thanks to the tubing formula.
My New Favorite Tinted Moisturizer
This Tower 28 Sunny Days SPF30 Tinted Sunscreen Foundation is absolutely perfect for spring and summer. I love that it’s a 100% mineral SPF 30, but it doesn’t leave a white cast on your skin. It’s also free of pore-clogging ingredients, making it safe for sensitive skin (which is what I have).
I also love that it evens redness, protects from sun damage and blue light, but still gives you a totally natural finish (meaning it doesn’t cover up my freckles, which I have grown to love over the years).
My New Favorite Concealer
The Kosas Reveler Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer is packed with both caffeine and hyaluronic acid, which means it does wonders for my dark under eye circles without looking cake-y. It also covers up any blemishes or redness I might have, and makes me look awake and refreshed.
My favorite concealer is any concealer that makes it look like I’m not wearing any, and this one definitely delivers.
My New Favorite Blush
The Ilia Multi-Stick Cream Blush + Highlighter + Lip Tint in the shade “All of Me” is a multi-tasking gem of a product to have in your makeup bag! It replaces three different products in your arsenal for the price of one (!) and it’s a super easy cream formula that you can blend in with your fingers.
This particular color is the perfect peachy-pinky-watermelon hue. And I love the opalescent sheen to it. Gives me a gorgeous glow!
My Favorite Primer & Setting Spray
The Milk Makeup Pore Eclipse line — especially their Mattifying + Blurring Makeup Primer and their Matte Translucent Talc-Free Setting Powder — are both amazing. My pores have become considerably more visible recently, which is super annoying when makeup then starts to sit in it. And especially during the summer, when I start to sweat, my makeup migrates. Well, these two products help to stop both of those problems!
My New Favorite Perfume
It’s been awhile since I’ve been a regular perfume wearer but Henry Rose ‘Windows Down’ Eau de Parfum has become a daily ritual of mine over the last year. I’ve now bought it and emptied it three times!
The notes of grapefruit, bergamot, honeyed neroli, earl grey tea, jasmine, and musk are right up my alley, but they have so many different scents for whatever you’re into — you can even try their Discovery Set to sample them all before you pick your favorite.
My New (Old) Favorite Hair Products
I’ve been switching on and off lately between two different haircare brands — Prose (which PS you can check out here), and Amika — which makes some really outstanding products. Their Kure Bond Repair Shampoo and Conditioner is really good for color-treated or damaged hair. Makes my strands totally silky and smooth! I’ve been using their products for years and they’re one of the best clean haircare brands out there.
Also — their Wizard Detangling Hair Primer is absolutely clutch any time I’m going to blow-dry or use heat tools on my hair.
My New Favorite Deodorant
I recently tried Salt & Stone’s Neroli & Basil Extra-Strength Aluminum-Free Deodorant for the first time and I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS STUFF.
First off, let me be totally honest with y’all: the different brands of natural deodorant I’ve tried in the past haven’t always gone the distance for me — especially during the summer months. Half-way through the day, the deodorant would be long gone and I’d be left stinky. Not this one! I’ve already tested it out several times, including at the gym, and it LASTS.
More of the best sephora Sale picks
Wanted to share some more of the best Sephora sale picks that you might want to check out during the sale, especially if you’re a Rouge member, including:
- More pricey investments like Dyson hair tools (like the Airstrait and the Airwrap systems), and the Shark hair tools (like the FlexStyle and the SpeedStyle).
- Good hairbrushes, like 1) a vented wet brush for gently detangling while also cutting down on blow-drying time and 2) a big round ceramic brush that can create waves and volume or smooth out hair while straightening.
- Their value and gift sets, which is actually a great way to test out new lines or new products to find your favorites — like the Laneige Lip Mask Kit, these fruity Glow Recipe Bestsellers, and this Biossance Radiance Set.
- Expensive Lash and Brow serums — if you’re looking for longer lashes and fuller brows, I swear by both GrandeLASH and GrandeBROW. It’s a long process, so it pays to buy the value sizes.
- Candles and home fragrances — Sephora only just recently started selling candles and home fragrances, and they have some great brands (like Boy Smells), so it’s a great opportunity to get them at a discount.
