Yesterday was one of those days where, when you get home at night, you can’t quite believe the day you just had.
When I chose the “two-day” LuckyFABB experience, I was asked to select a neighborhood that I’d want to shop in on the second day. Now, I go shopping quite often in SoHo, so I figured I would pick a neighborhood that I wasn’t very familiar with: ritzy and iconic Fifth Avenue. I have to admit – it’s intimidating to me, especially as a bargain shopper who is always usually on a budget.
And when I got an email with the official list of stores that we’d be hitting, I couldn’t help but chuckle at the first stop on the tour:

Breakfast at Tiffany & Co., hosted by Lucky editors.
As a New Yorker (and a huge fan of the film!), this was just too cool to pass up. But, it definitely presented a wardrobe challenge. What the hell do you wear to breakfast at Tiffany’s?!
Alexis Bittar earrings / LOFT blouse & belt / J. Crew Minnie pants and purse (similar) / Born sandals
I’ve passed by Tiffany’s on the street more times than I can count, but it was really fun to go there for something really special this time š
They brought us to a private salon on the second floor and — in addition to servers with mimosas waiting for us when we got off the elevator — there was this amazing spread to greet us.
They also had servers walking around with all of these different bite-size breakfast items … candied bacon, quiches with lobster, corn and tomatoes, mini-sausages, pesto deviled eggs … it was crazy.
I also need to take a moment to point out the sparkly muffins — insane!
And if that’s not enough — we were surrounded by sparkly jewels. To. die. for.
When I saw this amazing square emerald ring, I had to try it on. It’s not too much bigger than my ring, right? And it only fit on my pinky. Some pinky ring.
This flower brooch reminded me a little bit of the flower ring Samantha gets from Smith in the Sex and the City movie … so delicate and pretty.
Another amazing square emerald ring –
Wouldn’t you just love to throw this necklace on over a t-shirt and jeans?

After Tiffany’s, we went to Bergdorf’s, Henri Bendel, and Saks Fifth Avenue. I didn’t buy much, but I sure had an amazing time. The whole day is a total blur of awesomeness! If you want to check out the rest of my photos from our day of shopping, then definitely check out my Instagram feed š
