NYC Recessionista Roundup: my 2015 Academy Awards favorites

Okay, my lovelies … I’m now fully caffeinated and ready to give y’all a rundown of my favorites from last night’s Oscars red carpet. Let’s do this!

Most adorable red carpet couple: Behati Prinsloo and Adam Levine in Armani … stunningly hot. Both of them.

Favorite unexpected color: America Ferrera in Jenny Packham … It’s so different, but I love the shade.

Favorite statement jewels: Cate Blanchett in this Tiffany & Co. necklace … wow. Just wow.

Favorite print: Chloe Grace Moretz in Miu Miu … I know many will say it looks like Little House on the Prairie, or old bed sheets, but I don’t care. I love the vintage-y feel.

Favorite unexpected use of a ponytail: Dakota Johnson in Saint Laurent … simple and chic.

Favorite neckline: Reese Witherspoon in Tom Ford … serving up old Hollywood glam.

Favorite use of color by the boys: David Oyelowo in Dolce & Gabbana … head to toe perfection.
And Jared Leto in Givenchy … sigh. That is one sexy man.

Biggest color let-down: Emma Stone in Ellie Saab … I heard she was wearing green, and I really wish it wasn’t *this* green. I was rooting for emerald. That being said, she always looks amazing.

Favorite top-half of a dress: Felicity Jones in Alexander McQueen … loved the top half of this dress so much. The bottom half fell a little flat for me.

Favorite black: Kelly Osbourne in Rita Vinieris … love the illusion lace neckline and the high-low skirt.

Favorite makeup: Kerry Washington in Miu Miu … totally flawless!
