I can still remember one of the first suits I bought myself when I was fresh out of college — it was a glen plaid three-piece skirt suit by Elie Tahari and I got it for a steal at TJ Maxx over ten years ago. It had a pencil skirt, a matching fitted shell that — when paired with the skirt — made it look like a fitted sheath dress … and a smart jacket. The one thing I always remembered about putting on something that was Elie Tahari was the impeccable fit and how it instantly made you feel more sophisticated.
Well, I love seeing this new side of Elie Tahari now: the totally on-trend, a little more casual side. This new collection he did for DesigNation at Kohl’s is so cool. I especially love the graphic prints, but the silhouettes are pretty amazing, too.
Here are just some of my favorite pieces:
This skyline print dress
This mock-layer sweater
This NYC print sweater
This drape-back mixed media top
This Brooklyn Bridge print top
This french terry jogging pant
This mixed media body-con sheath dress
